I think it's going to be a Cannondale. |
Bad choice.... I love my C'dale, road bike, but their are much better tri bikes out there for a lot less money.

I don't want a tri bike. I want a road bike.
I find Treks up here overpriced because of the Lance factor.

If you buy another bike that has chaper components or the bike is cheaper, your back in the same boat in 6 months.

Nothing less than Ultegra. Try to swing Dura Ace if you can. |
I like the way you think. Please send cash.

Cannondale makes recumbents
 |
Somebody in our neighborhood has one of those. Looks like a recliner on wheels. I'm not sure if they don't know how to ride it or just what, but it looks really clumsy going by.

Details?
Have you looked at the prices of bike on Colorado Cyclist and places like that? To bad you payng Canadian prices too. No way to have someone buy it and ship it to ya? You could probably save some major green.

Soooo I was at a bike shop bringing my dirt bike in for a tuneup - after 4 years I felt it needed one
Anyhooo I see this really nice Specialized 24 speed road bike. $ 550. Don't ask me for the model number I'll get it next week - really looked nice and just about right for what I want to do - alternate running with riding.
So I'm thinking: do 3 hours OT for 6 days and I can buy it cash... Will talk to Mrs Andy later.

Trek makes LeMond bikes. |
They. do. not.
LeMond bikes are hand built somewhere on this continent. Trek are sweatshop built overseas.
As for details, it's a LeMond Tourmalet, Bontrager Race/105 group with Ultegra rear derailleur. And it's frikking sexy.
They don't have an R700 Cannondale in my size, but it's the same component level as this bike. They do have an R500, but for a little more money if the Tourmalet fits we are going to live happily ever after.

I really like the look of Cervelo, but I am loyal to this bike shop. They have gone above and beyond so far to try to get me happy.

OK, Trek owns LeMond. The higher-end Treks are made in Wisconsin. Low-end stuff is made in China. PS - Your wheels are made by a company that Trek owns.
