As an art form and a style of music,
the blues began in Minnesota with the Swedes.
They used to sing spirituals while shoveling the snow,
And soon these grew to be the blues.
Any questions?
They traveled down the Mississippi River,
by a riverboat and other means which we won't go in to right now,
but landed in New Orleans and became popular,
and soon were stolen from us by the Blacks.
So we stole the polka from them.

boy this song thread struck a chord with cheryl.
Get it? struck a cord? I'm hysterically funny.

That same one gets stuck in my head on occasion. I'd rather the blond in the video... oh never mind.

Well I was drunk the day my mom got out of prison
And I went to pick her up in the rain
But before I could get to the station in my pickup truck
She got runned over by a damned ole train!!

A local radio station has a parody of this song called Sehorn's wife. I like this version better than the origional. I'll try and post a link when I get home.

This by The Kinks:
Met a girl called lola and I took her back to my place
Feelin’ guilty, feelin’ scared, hidden cameras everywhere
Stop! hold on. stay in control
Girl, I want you here with me
But I’m really not as cool as I’d like to be
’cause there’s a red, under my bed
And there’s a little yellow man in my head
And there’s a true blue inside of me
That keeps stoppin’ me, touchin’ ya, watchin’ ya, lovin’ ya
Paranoia, the destroyer.
Paranoia, the destroyer.
