WTF??? Why would you put a 4 year old on this ride???
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Florida (AP) -- A 4-year-old boy died after passing out aboard Walt Disney World's "Mission: Space," a ride so intense that it has motion sickness bags and several riders have been treated for chest pain.

Disney will be forced to settle on this one. And they shouldn't.
(and this from someone who doesn't like the Disney omnipresence - except for our Mickey here, of course)

It's in a Disney designed community called "Celebration".
Family and I went through the town when we were there some years ago. Celebration freaks me out !! Its like a "Stepford" town. All the lawns are perfect, all the streets are spotless. It looks like a movie set. I don't think I saw anything out of place.

he must have been one big 4 year old!!!! My nine year old finally meets height requirements for real rides.
which brings up an issue//////maybe rides should have and age AND height requirement. I remember a friend she's 5'11 hubby 6 something, kids supertall, complaining that because her son was so tall they wouldn't let her go down a slide with him (can't remember if it was Sea World or Six Flags), they said he had to go alone. He was 4.

My daughter is 6 and 48 inches tall. I can't say I wouldn't let her ride it. If it was detrimental to her health, I would never forgive myself.
Like PH said, I drive her to day care everyday. I cross a major highway in the process, we could get broadsided and flip over. I live in a state with poisonous snakes, she could get bitten and die. I let her use a slip and slide and the risk is she could fall and hit her head and die. I've served her beef and I didn't check the temperature beforehand.
There are risks associated with everything in our lives. As parents, we should do our best to take the necessary precautions to prevent injury and/or death. I believe these parents and Disney took necessary precautions. It was a fluke.
