My MIL is an RN and she said one of the most tragic things was that Alzheimer's patients are nearly always in terrific physical condition. They will walk endlessly, walk into corners and continue walking for hours until someone finds them so their cardiovascular and muscular conditioning is very good.

My Nonni too.....it is a really tough thing to watch, especially if you were really close with them when they still had lucidity. I'm sorry, Jenny....
