Posted: 04/28/03 - 19:02 Post subject: spam... information databases...
this sh*t is getting creepy.
i got a junk mail letter today in my e-mail with my full freiken name in it.
i can handle when it's just my e-mail addy saying "hey blue_chris!" or whatever, but not when it's made out to me.
i'm beginning to think that i need to like change my e-mail address on a regular basis or somethin'. it bugs me out to think that people can just gather all that information about you.
i could care less about the e-mail spam advertising donkey porn, but it bothers me knowing that e-mails can be traced/tracked so easily.
it's almost like tapping your own phone. gives me the heebie jeebies.
i'm thinking that i'm going to get a seperate credit card for my internet purchases and what not. i'll be bs'ing all my registration info too.... it's a goverment plot i tells yah...

Wow! The postman has been delivering me creepy mail like that for the last 25 years!
Honestly, the spam is lot easier to get rid of than all that crap they cram in my US Postal mailbox.
What freaks me out a whole lot more than a subject line with my name in it is envelopes containing unsoliciated credit cards in my name.

I opened the browser here on the home comp and a website had changed our homepage, a window popped up to install some software, and when I said "no" that dialogue box closed and 3 pop up ads for porn opened up! I'm sitting here saying WTF??? and while I'm screaming about it, mrs. keltic wants to know "why" that stuff came up.

I shred those things. I don't want anyone signing my name and sending it back!
