I'm drowning in school work. Something about the ends of semesters that makes profs pile all kinds of things on, right as you should be/want to be studying for finals. Nice. Additionally, I have a project I have to put together for my scholarship. By this Friday. The project includes talking to several very high ups at my job. Most of whom probably sent my email directly to the spam box "cheryl who?". One person however, who already has gone out of her way to make sure I am not scared out of my mind and let me know she's a resource for me whenever I need her, between the lines esp when it comes graduation looking for RN job time (sweet), proved she meant it. She basically did most of my scholarship project for me by getting pages of information from these people who didn't have time to talk to me. She in no way needed to do that, I asked her a question that required maybe a 2 phrase response and she did this. She's saved my butt and my tuition dollars!
In short, I asked for an inch from a person who didn't have to give me anything, and I got a mile, and with the offer of more help if needed. Sometimes people are okay.

I think she deserves and extra nice thank you gift after the semester is over. Movie tickets or something. Doesn't have to be alot just thoughtful.

Very good idea, thank you.
Whats even cooler is she doesn't even look at what she did as "over and above." She's one of those people who genuinely loves her job and is more than happy to help other people out.

That is way cool, and what's more, you deserve it because that's exactly the kind of thing you'd do for a friend.
I agree with the gift idea. Chocolate is always good!

With all the morons "too busy to do stuff" you're very lucky to run into someone who is doing the extra stuff for you.
