Did you ever do something, however small and trivial, that we don't know about it?
Here's mine:
When I was in the Guards, we had just gotten in from nine days in the field, and everyone was just sitting around and relaxing. Someone had bought some beer, we we were enjoying a few. The beers were at one end of the billets, and when we wanted one we'd just yell and they'd throw em down to us one at a time.
Well, one time while just sitting there talking, a saw a glint of something out of the corner of my left eye, threw my left arm up and caught a full beer that had been thrown at full speed. My buddy would have been caught right in the eye. Evidently someone at the other end had heard someone callout for a fresh beer.
It was an amazing reaction...I wish I had it on video.
Anyway, I saved someone from a black eye because of my quick reflexes and good hands.
What's your story?

While talking about archery over a couple of cold ones with my former neighbor we got into a discussion of accuracy. I offered to demonstrate and stuck an empty on a low hanging branch, paced off approximately 25 yds. and proceeded to drill an arrow about as dead center through the can as possible. He was in awe and bought some archery equipment the following week. The next year he outdid me though - he stuck an arrow through the center of his target and on his very next shot stuck the follow up arrow INTO the arrow that was already in the target. The arrow within an arrow is now hanging in his garage....

I've done CPR 5 times. The first time I ever did, it the person actually lived.

Every time I go to FT Lauderdale beach, I end up running into the ocean naked at night.
Once, I peformed the Heimlich Maneuver successfully on a gentleman who was choking on a piece of prime rib. I got a really big tip that night!

I rescued three kids from inside of a burning building, by being in the right place at the right time. (I was not even working, just drove by in my private vehicle and saw flames shooting out of a house, kicked in the door and rescued the kids.)
I ended up in the hospital with a nasty case of smoke inhalation but the kids were okay.

Nah. Your story isn't lame.
It's just a little excitement challenged.

Can you curl it into a clover-leaf shape?

I've saved 2 people using the Heimlich Maneuver (or as my brother-in-law calls it - the Heineken Remover).

It was cool though. You just had to be there.

Actually, it is a cool story. I'm just jealous because I don't have anything exciting or cool like that to say.
