Here's my smilie of the day, a change from my usual cheery self.
Having a crapper of a week.
Ok, that's all for now. You can go find a more uplifting post now.

Just having self worth issues of a stay at home mom, questioning my value and place in life...... Lame I know. I think I just need a kick in the pants.
And no, his first word was mama.

No other SAHM's to help you with that? I am sure of the way cool ones here could help you. One thing is you will never regret having spend too little time with him.
I think a night on the town with the ladies or Mr. is on order.

How's the walking going?
Marcus took a step and a half last night. He will let go of things and try to go to me. Last night he pushed of the entertainment center and went to his exersaucer...He's getting closer.
Marcus says Mamamama...and babababa, almost exclusively
I keep telling him, Dada, but he just says baba in response. (I think this means, fat chance old man, I can't make the D sound yet)

yep, actually just got off the phone with a friend....thankfully I've got her on call for counseling!
Walking on his own will be here soon coach, he's working on it and can stand on his own a little bit, too.

yep, standing is Marcus's new favorite game.
step 1. pull yourself up
step 2. let go
step 3. stand and waver
step 4. fall on butt
repeat this cycle about 15 times endlessly

I think you need a visit from one of your good buddies.....any bars with pool tables in your 'hood?
Molly, you rock, sweetie...don't EVAH question your value in life. Just take a good look at that gorgeous baby of yours and know that you've done something some of us can't. And remember everything it took to get there too.
Good call, though RT, I bet some of the other SAHMs here could have a little more wisdom and experience to lend, having been there.

I have those days too. It's hard because when you are a SAHM, it's not always recognized as being a full time job (24/7/365). It's a lot of work and sacrafice. You lose a lot of freedom and don't get the breaks from it as well. So...I can relate.
However, your son will appreciate you and you can see on his face how happy he is. That's the greatest reward of it all.
I get this way from time to time. It comes and goes in waves. You just take it in stride.
Have a better day!
PS My daughter is sick. I was able to get her an appointment and not worry about getting anyone to sub...miss a day of work...have detailed lesson plans...worry, worry, worry about my job and her... It was nice today knowing that all I had to do this morning is care for her.
