Now I'm impressed.
Where were you at when you started to learn to swim? I mean, did you have already logged tons of bike miles and ran multiple marathons or were you at a moderate level of training and with the swimming decided to ratchet it up?
When did you do your first IM? |
first tri was a sprint one, and did it on a mountain bike, came out of the water 2nd to last just so happy to be alive......I used to race mountain bikes but never road biked until I started competing in tris, started with a road bike and then got a tri bike about 2.5 years ago, I have run marathons since college so the running was the easier and more natural part for me.
Dancer on the other hand had not run a marathon before her signing up for the first IM, she ran one during the first 6 months of training for the IM. |
Now I'm really impressed. As if I wasn't before. It's still scary (the whole thing) but it doesn't seem as impossible. Just really, really, really, really hard.
