I went birfday shopping for the two boys.
I'm also working on not being oversensitive about things....

I've spent most of the morning catching up on what I missed last week because I was out of town, and I'll be spending the rest of the afternoon getting ready to leave again on Friday!
I REALLY LOVE NOT WORKING!

I give you three months before you go bonkers. It's fun at first, but quite frankly I've found my brain turning to much as of late. Maybe you have more fun stuff to do!

I agree with you. Not working permanently, or for an extended period would drive me bonkers right now. But I REALLY like vacations!

I spent the first 6 hours of the day talking to people who seemed to get more and more stupid the longer the conversations lasted. I stopped making phone calls and taking them at 3:00. Lawyers, adjustors, government workers and receptionists were all vexing me today.
I'm hoping the system will reset overnight and all the smart people report for duty tomorrow.

Oh, believe me, I can empathize. I can't work on a book full-time (because, well, it doesn't pay. Neither does free-lance writing, down here, apparently. I got sick of making 26 phone call to chase people down to pay me, so I'm on strike from the paper until I see some $$). Larry keeps telling me I don't need to work full-time. I keep telling him if he wants a sane wife come August, I do.

Italy...again! I'm a spoiled brat, I know. Delta is going again on business and I'm tagging along. I don't even feel guilty about having two Italy vacations in less than 6 months, and he had to work.

That's one piece of advice we give newlyweds who ask, is allow the "stay at home" spouse to achieve fulfillment on their own, away from the family, if need be---sanity will be a victim if not.
People achieve personal fulfillment in a myriad of ways. I personally enjoy working. Some people enjoy homeschooling. Some people enjoy gardening. None are wrong, and are definitely important for mental health and a happy marriage.

Absolutely. Exactly. Right on. Couldn't have said it better.

I was working on sleeping after working all night when this was posted. I'm now finished with that project.

Crammed two days of training into one to accommodate customers' needs. Spent the morning training on inventory maintenance in our system. Spent the afternoon training on medical records/nursing forms in our system. Finished the day catching up on PMs and personal emails before evening class.

Have a great trip OL!
I worked at the Running Store all day so the owner could take a day off. Strangely enough, she was there for most of it...
