Posted: 10/08/03 - 10:09 Post subject: so today.....
I am taking the afternoon off so I can:
meet with the lawyer I feel forced into a position of defending myself aggressively. I moved out of the house on Sept. 7 and she filed for support on Sept. 9 I've been paying bills for them the whole time. the registered letter arrived on my birthday.
Later I have to meet with my new therapist. there are just a few more issues to clear up with the eating disorder. when my therapist moved away, she suggested that I see this one to finish up.
I'm really kind of angry about both appts. I'd rather not being doing either one of those things.

There's a lot of crap to clear up, Steve, to be sure. I think you'll be much, much happier day-to-day when it's over. I think you're doing the right things... not sitting on your duff and saying my life's poop; you're taking steps to remove the poo. Good for you! And spill it whenever you need to talk... that helps, too.

Make sure you don't tell that other teacher that you're going to be gone. Let him bring his class down. Hehe.

eww, meeting a new therapist does suck. been there, done that.
anyway, good luck with the lawyer. too bad about all that stuff. but LE's right, good for you for clearing away the poop instead of sitting around doing nothing.
we love you!!

I wish I could! I see the therapist at 6:00pm and then I have to go run a choir rehearsal. I won't be back until 9pm and I've been up since 4am (was scheduled to get up at 5:15, but for some reason I couldn't sleep)

A lot of that sounds familiar. I was paying all the bills after I moved out into my crapbox of an apartment but she decided she needed alimony. No problem, she's more financially strapped now than before. Either way she's making out a helluva lot better than me right now.

Take care, keltic. You amaze me with your strength and rational approach to all of this. This is tough stuff.

i'd say if you can't get a run in then, by all means, have a beer tonight and put this long day behind you.
and--what Sahara said.

Sorry you have these appointments on your agenda today. I'm sure you know this, but keep great records through your divorce and after. It's amazing what some people will try.
Alimony is such a joke nowadays. It just frosts me that people file for it. Maybe temporary support while you settle if the income is that different, but otherwise, stand on your own two feet.
