I stayed after school because one of my spring concerts is this evening. I stopped at a local supermarket, bought some dinner from their food bar: roasted corn salad, bruschetta, stuffed grape leaves, feta cheese, and a roll (for the bruschetta). All are pretty good choices, and for less than $5, better than the fast food options. Now I need to complete a few tasks, but I'm procrastinating. the students will be here by 7pm for a 7:30 start time.

Gas is edging ever closer to $3/gal. I figured it was cheaper to pay for dinner than to drive home and eat.

Those little impromptu dinners can be nifty.

I was once in a play put on by Franciscan Nuns about, what else, the life of St. Francis of Assisi. The show was done in the basement of a cathedral, and there was an elementary school at the back of it. The attendance was horrible, and one of the cast sneaked a bottle of Glenlivit, which we proceeded to down in Dixie Cups while seated in kiddie chairs between scenes backstage.

That's the best 'sitting around waiting for the show to go on' story I have.

well I can't do one of the tasks, I brought the wrong hymnal. I'll have to plan my music for church either later tonight or first thing in the morning.

I did get lesson plans written. Now it's time to work on the stage, then change out of these clothes into something a bit more dressy.
