they arent going to make her reimburse the city and state for spending all that money looking for her AND they are going to spend more money to prosecute her? 
i dont think what she did was right, but hasnt she been thru enough without having to go to court?

Frog, I agree the woman is pretty sick. But if you viewed the money being spent as a deterrent to other people who might be planning to split from a 600-person wedding with 28 attendants who had a history of shoplifting or whatever and call in a fake kidnapping and sexual assault, it might be worth it.

i really just dont see why they are spending more moeny to prosecute her after they complained about spending so much money looking for her.

After all is done, all they will find she did is file a false statement. The sentence probably doesn't even carry jail time.
The whole thing is a non-issue. She has the right to run away form whatever/whenever she wants. She never called and said they kidnapped me, come look. She made it up AFTERward. So what.
