actually she called the principal.

Said her daughter had a bump on her head, and when asked where she got it from, said the PE teacher pushed her into the wall.

I was off, and talked to the principal on the phone. Told her that I don't remember anyone getting hurt in anyway in class, it was possible, but if she did hit her head against the wall she certainly didn't make a scene about it.

Principal calls me back after talking to the Mom. The Mom tells her, "she wouldn't lie" and said that the girl said that I am always mean to her. dunno I have only had class with her two times, didn't even know her name yet, and I'm picking her out? dunno

So, the principal invited the Mom to come to class today. The Mom came and watched class.

Here is a little girl, who for whatever reason, completely, totally, 100 percent lied to her Mom. I put the face with the name today. She didn't get hurt on Tuesday, not one bit. In fact, she was just fine, she didn't stand out in any way at all.

What the hell? I mean, who would believe a teacher would shove their little girl (1st grader) into the wall? That just doesn't make sense.

I struggle to comprehend the thought process or lack of thought process by the parents of many of today's children. Some of them should have "my kid won't lie" tatooed on their forhead. Honey, wake up and do some parenting, your kid is lying. Quit being a fricking victim.

It just makes me mad.

Although, after watching class, I'm sure everything is fine.

That is sucky. Kids lie, it is a defense mechanism. Mom almost taught her that she can get away with it too, carte blanche.

Fortunately mom came and saw what class is really like. Thus proving to her daughter that she will be checking up on her stories.

My mom always took the teachers side (at least as far as I knew at the time) but she would at times question the teacher without letting me know. I think it was probably the right way to do it because I knew if I got in any trouble with a teacher, I would double it by complaining to my mom.

Um...my 3rd grade teacher gouged the back of my neck with her finger nail and when I told another teacher I got in big trouble and the teacher who did it lied her ass off to say I did it with a pencil.

My mother didn't do anything about it.

I'm still scarred by it. While I am abosutely sure that coach did nothing, dismissing a claim of a teacher hurting a student on purpose out of hand can be harmful.

Just sayin.

i think the scariest part about working with little people would be their tendency to fib for whatever reason. most parents today are always gonna side with the kid, making matters worse Mad

i could never be a preschool teacher for this very reason.

hope she doesn't decide to "go off" on you again coach. i wouldn't know how to treat her from now on...are you extra attentive or do you just ignore the whole issue?

i'd be afraid that no matter what i said to the little girl, it might get "twisted" around in some way.

The palm of my hand was nearly blistered from where my 2nd grade teacher hit it with a ruler with a metal edge. I told my Mom, but the teacher said I was disobeying and instead of swats on the bottom, I got swats on the hand. I got hand swats EVERYDAY. I still hate rulers.

Creepy thought...

...maybe Mom did something to her, and is trying to pass the blame.

My middle school gym teacher literally kicked my @ss one day for being a slacker. Probably the most imporant lesson I learned that year.

well when we were in gr 5 or 6 we made our teacher cry after getting the whole class to sign a petition (even the smart girls) saying the teacher was sexist.

like we even knew anything about that back then - needless to say we all got in a healthy bit of trouble (although we were fighting for our right to party).

i think it's sad the way somethings are nowadays... i feel like customers and other people take advantage of rules and the law. (ie. the infamous burglar slipping on the floor of a house he was robbing and winning the lawsuit) or not being able to yell at a customer who's just being a total deuche bag to you.

but i recall one teacher in high school saying "i don't care what we're told - if i think a student needs a hug, they are going to get one, and if i get strung up for it - then so be it" or my lady high school coach who was showing me where i should feel a stretch (that was helping me recover from my injured piriformis) and ran her finger right near my hiney.

while it was unexpected (just because of how things are nowadays) it was perfectly helpful and ok with me. my male coach would say "we used to be able to give massages to our (school) athletes - now i wouldn't even think about it".

it's a sick world we live in somedays.

then again it does go both ways. sometimes no one believes the kids. Neutral
