I just recently re-discovered Tesla.
Found their website...they are still playing. Same members, and everything.
their "newest" cd is very good. (it was released in 2003)
I'm not ashamed to admit that I liked tesla back in the day, and still like them today.

Tesla/Poison was in 1989.
Tesla/Firehouse was in 1991 or 1992.
(firehouse still stunk)
Tesla was great. the second time, they did an acoustic set (because of the acoustical album)...it was really good.

BANG BANG!!!
TESLA ruled back in the day. Less glammy and more rocky.
I saw them too. I think they toured with Cinderella when I saw them.
Their Live acoustical jam album was nothing short of amazing...

I admit that this song is on the mix cd currently in my player right now:
Stormy night under dead black skies,
he pulls into town
Thunder rolls and the lightning bolts come crashin' to the ground
Cold as ice,
hard as stone,
as he walks into the room
With another man who was feeling the same way,
all hell is breakin' loose
Chorus:
I said bang bang,
shoot 'em all,
I said bang bang,
blow you away
It's a showdown in the no man's land,
for the cowboy of the modern day
Come sundown,
don't be hangin' round,
'cos the cowboy'll blow you away
[I could blow and the bad boy jones],
on the wrong side of the law Johnny and his company,
always fast to the draw,
yeah Get so lean,
feelin' so mean,
I try to take my lucky share 'Cos all I saw was ruin,
oh, the smell of blood was in the air
(chorus)
Ole! So here we are and we've come this far,
but it's only getting worse Foreign lands with their [terrace] demands,
only cost,
they get hurt The U.S.A.,
the U.S.S.R.,
wearin' six-guns to the side I see the message,
it's written on the wall,
to my chain-gun deep inside
(chorus)
It's a showdown,
yeah yeah yeah, ohh

Yeah, you should of heard the roar of approval in South Dakota when the singer (Jeff Keith) said..
"This next song is about......
Cowboys!"
(Enter Huge Roar from corn fed farm folk that were filling the arena)
