what do ya think? Anyone game?

9/6 Vilas Park (Madison's zoo) 5K, 10K. 9:00 Start time.

9/7 Dylan's Run to Indian Summer @ Milwaukee's Summerfest Grounds. 10:00 start time.

9/20 Al's Run Marquette University, 8K, 5Mi, 10:15

I'm doing Al's Run for sure, but haven't decided which of the other two to do. Anyone else running any of these races? Love to meet up.

Smile,

Shelly

I plan to do something on the 6th around the Madison area. There's a 1/2 in Janesville on the 6th so if I don't do my 1/2 on Aug 30 in MI....I'll pick up the half......???right now especially sinced I had to stop marathon training for a few days due to foot pain. Will know more after my attempt at a long run today.

thanks, for the link, sue. hope your foot pain isn't anything serious.

not sure if i'd be jumping the gun with this AT and racing on the 6th or 7th... i am going to do Al's Run, though, on the 20th.

Here's what I have on slate:

perhaps the Schneider run, Green Bay Sept 9th (but I may boycott it for Sue!)

Fox Cities 1/2 on Sept 28th

Audobon Days 5 miler- Mayville October 5th

Octoberfest 5K- Omro october 12th

anyone interested in joining me? PAUL? RANDO? Shel? Sue? EL? Cjay? That audobon days was a great time last year, yes?

Joel--- got a link or info on the Omro race?????---I may be recovered for that one.

I'm still going with Fox Cities full.......but I have big time reservations...besides my training being "off", I think there may be big problems with the race itself. One of the co-RD quit.....and the other RD has no experience. The previous RD that was going to aid the new RDs died tragically in a car accident earlier this year.

Hey, if you do this one, make a stop at Chili John's and say hello to Bob and Joanne (my parents). They eat there enough to be honorary stockholders, and I can't blame them.

This was my first race (the 5K, anyway) one year to the day! It was going to be either the half there or at Quad Cities (my first half) this time around. JACKED UP talked me into doing QC with her. Oh, well...

sure Joel.....go ahead run it on the 9th and you'll be in the same boat as me....(they won't give you your award).....but unlike me it won't be because you're not wearing a chip.....but that you ran it 3 days late Razz

how about the cheesehead 1/2 on the 13th????? I might jog it.....if you run the 1/2 with a wedge on your head your name goes in for a drawing for Packer tickets......it's in Hilbert.

my update: not doing 1/2 in MI this weekend....going to do a long run with hubby's friend instead......so it looks like the 1/2 in Janesville on the 6th is on the plate....and then it's taper time baby.....woohoo!!!!!!

hey CJay!!!!!! you've been awfully quiet.....what's on your agenda???????

I think I may have to cancel all races until November, but if things really are getting better.....Octoberfest 5K...where's Omro (and is there...beer Smile )? Maybe I can do an October race....I hope my last race of the season isn't a turkey trot.

I may do the MATC turkey trot again...

Joel, I am still not running so no races for me this year. Hopefully I will be good to go next year. I was going to atleast go watch the Audobon days but my FIL will be in town running the Lakefront Marathon so I will be cheering him on.

Sorry Paul...tis sucky!

shelee...there's tons O beer at Octoberfest. It's a pretty small race (odds of placing = good). In fact, I got my 5K PR at it!

Omro is about a 10 minute drive west of Oshkosh. Really easy to get to.

Haven't signed up for the Fox cities yet and will have to see how I am doing at the end of this week. Haven't been training worth a SQUAT cuz of vacation/new puppy/ wicked allergies y asthma...

Sorry to hear about the Fox Cities....I haven't been training routinely either...but not for a reason as good as new puppy! Still trying to get over that injury. Sad The Omro race sounds like a good time. Maybe I'll mark it on my calendar. Let ya know as the date gets closer. Get to high five the Shelf at another race! Cool

Joel - got my info in the mail for Audubon not too long ago! I really want to run that one again...that was a BLAST! I am going to work my way up to that one. Due to all of the 'situations' in my life recently, I haven't been running and have added some 'shape'. I'll be starting up very soon, though...

Sounds good Rando! Shel, the Audobon is a better race to run...especially the beer tent and all the food waiting for us at the end of the race, yo...

think about it.
