Some of you may remember the unbelievably steep hill from my long run question in Starting Line. 9% grade, 1/4 mile long. On the way home on my long run I walk down it to save my knees Should I bother or just run it? It is s-t-e-e-p.

May not be a bad idea, safer on your knees, but safer in general.

I agree. Downhill is the worst on your knees. Smart move to walk down.

Reverse your course so you get to run UP it and get a great hill workout.

Actually I run up it at the beginning of my run.

Ahh... good thinking. I'd go for the walk back down then.
