We have been running around a track on the local duck pond. It is 1 1/4 miles with fitness challenges throughout.
Everytime I run it, the area under my left knee hurts, on the run home on pavement, it finally wears off.
I am assuming it is the slope of the track even though I try to run on different sides of the track.
Mr Aire loves running this track--is there something I can do so I can keep running this track? Is it the material I am running on dirt vs concrete?

The pain occurs on my left leg where my leg meets my knee, so right below my knee, but on the lower left only.
It doesn't happen when I run on the sidewalk or the asphalt running path--just on this track.
My next thought is to run in the opposite direction to see what happens.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Could be that the angle of curvature for this path is such that it causes the pain in your knee.

That was my guess too. I always have issues with that. Especially roots on path, obstacles. Anything where there is a quick steep grade where impact occurs.
The area you are talking about acts as a bit of a "shock" like a bike has when you hit mixing grades like that.
