(Of course, I didn't mention that most of my Winter 'jogs' are on the treadmill in my basement. I guess to her I'd be a little less of a moron for that, though. B!tch.)

Great responses everyone!!! I just dont understand how people dont understand us runners. Its not like its something out of the ordinary, its one of the simplest forms of exercise right. You dont need a gym membership, heck all you have to do is go right out your front door. That lady is a complete jerk. If I get sometime here at work today I'll fire her an e-mail if not I will do it from home tomorrow!! Keep up the great responses all, lets pound this lady into submission!!!!!!

Here was my in an email to her:
Dear. Ms. MacDonald,
I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and believe your reference to joggers being morons was an attempt at humor.
It failed quite miserably.
However, if you truly do have a blood-like taste in your mouth when you jog I would suggest this is quite a deviation from the norm and you may explore why you are experiencing this sensation.
Sincerely,
Alan Gray

I have finished in a breathtaking sprint 200 races. And I have virtually put the aging process at a standstill according to yearly exams with my doctor. All this was done with a body diagnosed 30 years ago as one that would never run. Sure I could have used my condition as an excuse like so many people do that their bodies aren't meant to be physically fit. But I didn't. I ran.
I have been on high school and collegiate teams. Cross-country and track teams are by far the highest academic achieving sports teams in any school or university system. Go ahead and check, you'll find it's true. Running not only tunes your body, it sharpens your mind. I'd recommend you give it a try. After reading your article, it is obvious where some sharpening is needed.

She obviously didn't know what she was getting herself into with her statement. I do love all your replies. I'll have to respond in my own moronic way.

Ain't nothing wrong with exercising in your basement, Rando. Ain't nothing wrong with the basement.
They are great places to hold Riff Raff and Kick meetings, too. If only people would show up once in a while.
