i've been entrusted with the duty of selecting wrapping paper and a
birthday car for a certain gentleman's 1st birthday. wow, talk about pressure.
this is something the mom is gonna keep for years and years... now the money question - funny card or sappy card?
...maybe this is too much pressue.

As the card will be read by parents, fam - everyone but the kid - a nice, simple, charming card is fine. Funny - maybe. Sappy - if you're talking poetry and junk by Helen Steiner Rice and her ilk - for the love of God, NO!

i got a neat one with a teddy bear on it, but the poem is kinda weak - and another one that's a little bit better.
but i got some bad ass batman wrapping paper
we got the kid a big soft/plastic yellow dump truck... perfect for smashing into mommys shins
