I want to improve my sprints. I heard that doing some 100 push ups could help me be faster. I would like to know if I have to do all of them in one set or I can split them in say, five sets with 20 reps each set. What do you think about push ups for improved sprint?

Well, push ups can help you sprint faster the same way flying a plane can help you to become better diver. In other words, one thing has nothing to do with the other. Your legs are doing all of the work during sprinting. Push-ups can help you develop pecs, triceps and front delts. To have stronger legs you have to do squats with weights, leg extensions and leg curls.
