Anyone know anything about the HP Photosmart Compact Photo Printer? I saw a commercial for this and thought the idea was hellasweet: insert your digital camera's memory card into the slot, push a button, and out shoot 4" x 6" photos (color and B&W). I like that this is non-USB dependent for my SmartMedia, since my hub is maxed out, and that it's only $150.
Then there's the Hewlett-Packard Photosmart Network-Ready Photo Printer at $250, which does photos up to 8" x 10". Looks like it does use a USB, so I'll have plug and unplug a lot.
I'm tired of sizing and resizing for our current printer, and the resolution isn't as high as either of these printers. Thoughts or comparable products?

I was just given a new hp PhotoSmart printer that can print from the memory card or from the PC through the USB connection. I don't recall the model but I couldn't find an exact image. Other than the first printer having a defective printing head and having to exchange the whole machine, no problems. High quality and surprisingly fast printing.

I love my Epson Stylus Photo 820. The inks that Epson uses are the best in the business, and the photos will last longest. In some cases, longer than regular photos.
It does not have the ability to plug and print though. There is definitely formatting to do before printing.
