19 months. I was told at the time it was better to get it over with so you didn't have one in diapers for years and years.

Luckily the first one potty trained very early so we didn't have two sets of diapers for long.

There probably isn't a perfect age difference. I seem to be aging more quickly since kids

I don't have kids, but I can speak for my own experience.
There are 3 of us and just over 6 years between each of us, so my oldest sister is 12 1/2 years older than I am. I would say that was too much. My oldest sister and I are almost from different generations. I can relate to her daughter more than I can to her...Just my

Our first two are 16 months apart, and are now 5 and 6. They're both boys, and they get along well if they aren't killing one another. Wink

Our latest and last addition, our only girl, was born last December 30th, one day shy of 5 years since the middle child was born. The older brothers dote over their sister now, but I'm sure she'll be a royal pest when she's 3 and the 8 and 9 year olds want nothing to do with her.

There are benefits to having them close together, in that they theoretically can entertain each other. I expect they'll have a closer relationship as adults, if they're fortunate enough to live through puberty.

The downside thus far was having two in diapers at the same time. Only triplets could be worse. (Molly, if you want to borrow her for a while to see what it's like, just let me know.)

Um he's seen the detention room a large number of times during his not so stellar career. Mostly for clowning, nothing drastic. And he has matured somewhat the last couple of years.... Although the two week ago stunt of Saran wrapping the local popo car while it was parked at the popo station was something I didnt' need to hear about..... 3' wide rolls of industrial plastic wrap.... wrapped the car up tighter than a drum... three popo's out swearing and cutting off plastic a half hour later....

Mine are 20 months and 22 month apart and currently ages 10, 8, 6.

Two years after my youngest was born we got a puppy. There must have been something instinctual going on for me.
