truly, this will be the first time I've actually had these months "off." Sterling asked me last night about whether I would be working this summer but the way things look, I've decided to not bother. The amount I made last summer was minor, and if anything it put me in a different tax bracket and it cost me money.
Sterling just applied for a job, Stormie is talking about working, and someone needs to be around to watch Sawyer. Not to mention, trying to get the divorce taken care of No "real" job for me this summer.

Are you planning to still do lessons on the side at all?
I know on my break this summer (from teaching that is) I will be refining some of my lessons, and tweaking stuff that worked well and redoing stuff that did not.
Though I know I wont start that stuff until like August.

we are looking at some major changes when school starts in the fall. I'm not even sure that I will be in the same buildings (maybe one of them will change.) the district has instituted full-day kindergarten, which will increase my teaching load by at least 4 classes. The highest number of periods I can teach per week is 43 (contractually and logistically) and I already teach 41 of those.
I am waiting to see what my assignment is. It's supposed to be in my hand by friday afternoon.
so instead of worrying about lessons, or teaching private students, i will be spending my time reading for my other job at the church. I have a few theological books to read, and it seems like summer will be a good time to do that.
