I say get it..it's a useful training tool to have and it may help your running alot if you use it regularly. That's a good deal for a HRM-never seen them that cheap before (I got mine for $200+). What features does this model have?

I said "not sure".
Personally, I'm waiting for my tax return so I can get a Bodylink system, cause I want the GPS speed stuff also. But that Reebok HRM does look pretty cool.

I have the GPS speed stuff, being a multi sport person i wanted something better than the TIMEX system, so i got the Garmin. I have used HR systems before but faded out and looking for newer updated versio without all the $$$. plus i like the strapless feature on this, just a quick finger pulse for work commutes and impromptu sessions ( don't ask and yes a little OCD on workouts at times)

I'm probably going to wait until the Garmin comes out with a new model to include HRM. Rumor from CoolRunning says next model may or may not include either HRM or an MP3 player.

The only thing I would want to know, is if it is digitally coded, so it won't interfere with someone else's monitor. The Polar that I used to have had that feature and it was nice not getting interference from other HRM users.
The changeable battery in the transmitter is a bonus, for Polar you had to send it to the factory

Just another gadget.
Apart from a good pair of shoes, running and swimming are probally two of the only sports left that can exist in a pure form.
Nice; but you don't really need one to improve your running.

Ask yourself:
How many of those features will I use ?
If you don't time your splits now what makes you think you will with this ?
I don't bother with all that stuff--- Myabe I'm stupid or in denial but all I use is a plain and simple $6.00 watch with stop watch feature I got at the PX. OK 10 minutes/mile got it thanks...

From a cost and functionality standpoint it looks pretty good. What difference does it make as to the features that you will or will not use at this price. The cheapest HRMs are around $59.00 so the price for this one is not bad.
My only reservation about it is that I'm not sure of the accuracy since it doesn't have a chest strap. I know from personal experience that blood pressure machines that take your bp around the upper arm are much more accurate than the ones that use the wrist or fingers. I suspect this may be in the same category.
If you can return it if not satisfied, order it and test it against some hrm's with straps and see what you think. Just be sure you return it within the timeframe if you decide you don't like it. It the dealer does not permit returns I would skip it and buy the monitor somewhere else.

Well the main thing is i like the graphical pyramid display and percent of MHR displayed as well. It does have a chest strap as well as a stand alone.
