what in the same hell does this mean:
degree celsius = 5/9 (degree farenheit -32)
degree farenheit = (9/5 degree celsius) + 32
K = degree celsius + 273.15
thats how a list of temperature conversions formulas look on my g/f's formula sheet.
what's the deal with the 5/9, and 9/5? ... please help, exams are at the end of the week

You multiply by that. Do you know how to multiply?
Examples: 0C = (9/5 x 0) +32 = 32F
100C = (9/5 x 100) + 32 = 180+32 = 212F
That should about cover it.
