I've spent about 2 hours today logging in mileage and stuff. There are a few weeks that I can't find and usually those are weeks that I'm post recovery and didn''t give a hoot.

So it looks like I'm just a little behind last year's mileage and will be over 3,000 miles sometime last Nov/early Dec.

Looking back, it hasn't been as bad as I thought. My main focus was my May marathon and I crashed/burned/but somehow managed to finish. I felt like the entire summer was spent licking my wounds. But looking back there was some good things that came out of that hard training.

I manage a 5k, 5mile, and 1/2 PR while training for that marathon. Post marathon without anything but easy runs I ran a 10k PR. And 2 weeks before my fall marathon I PR'd in the half marathon distance by taking another minute off

So if I weren't training for the marathon distance, 2006 appears to be a success. Unfornuately, I just can't tackle the beast. I do think I could have had a marathon PR last month, but I didn't want it bad enough. Here's to hoping the beast will be beaten to the ground in early 2007.

I've got no doubts for '07, Sue. May you accomplish all you want, and then some. Cool
