Posted: 10/03/03 - 16:35 Post subject: my marketing professor is an idiot.
last friday we all cut class for the entire day, with the exception of about 8 people. two classes had been cancelled, the one class i was ahead in, and showing up for marketing is one of the best ways for me to waste my time.
but last friday he decided he was finally going to take attendance.
so today we stick it out, we could easily go home in the afternoon, we're all ahead in math and we would've been done at 11 this morning.
math class was 5 minutes long.
we kick it in the hall, show up for marketing and he goes "are we finished chapter 5 now?" and we're like "i think so" and he goes "ok well i don't want to get ahead of the other classes. fill out this survey about the program and you can go home." and smiling "feel free to bad mouth me, i've been teaching 25 years it won't change me abit ok?"
thanks for nothing you assclown.
my favorite part is when he says "coming to class reinforces what you read in the book."
oh wait, my bad, my *favorite* part was when he decided not to take attendance because enough of us showed up.
i can't believe i'm paying money for this.

Again, all this is perfect training for all the meetings you will attend post graduation.

did i mention it's a *marketing* professor?
something about customer value... i think someone is stuck in the *production* era. ram it down my throat because i don't have a choice.
i think i'll write up an evaluation from a marketing standpoint. that'd be terrific.

The evaluation may not mean much, but I bet a meeting with the dean would.

WHAT is WRONG with the educational system in this world today!! It's worse even in college than in the public schools for the kids.
I agree...I'd go talk to the dean. For more reinforcement, go find elkid's posts about her Ed Psych prof.
