.......in the triangle area!!!!!! If it were just the two of us....I'd be on cloud nine.......but the thought of moving the kids again and I really love my neighborhood here....I just hate WI weather!!!!
Should I let him interview and go from there. There are rumors going around his work that he is quitting. He just got this letter yesterday and it's only an interview.

The Triangle, here in NC?
If so, you know my answer!!!
Seriously though, interviewing is seldom a bad thing. He wouldn't have to take the job, but would be good for keeping those interviewing skills up.

I say he should go on the interview and see what is being offered.
I think it's also good for the experience as well.
That's just the way I think.
If it's something that doesn't seem to fit your needs or what you want...he can always turn the offer down. My dh has done that in the past. He has gone for interviews where he has taken the job and he has gone where he has not. It was all a good for the experience for him to do so though. I never get worked up either. I wait until there's an offer on the table, it's accepted and we have a moving date.

When husband was still in school, he asked me where I wanted to live and NC was always my answer. A few years ago, he was offered a job in Greenville...but we decided the city was too small (and then we move to a city of 24,000???). But I think also it was culture shock...where the medical trianle area is a mixture of all areas of the country.
It's -8F with windchill-30F here.....maybe he'll take me to the interview???

although it would be tough on the kids to move again...
He should definately look into it. I would love to live in that area as well.
That is really cool.

we used to live in Raleigh. i think i once read that the triangle has the highest concentration of PHD's than any other area nationwide. supposedly, it had been making a technical run at california's silicon valley?? hi tech haven? it is such a medical hub too.
nice place, lots and lots of growth when we were there. good luck.

how does your whole family feel about it? do you have family in WI? it's hard to move away from family and friends. it's a really big decision. he could do the interview and when the hiring process moves to the next stage you may know more how your family and you feel about it. is there a good running community for you down there? wisconsin is wonderful, regarding a running community.

Other than the weather, I'm jealous.....that is the pinnacle of medicine, research and science geekdom...I say let him go for it and see what develops. What's meant to be, you know??? It's a great area for running too, awesome set of trails and lots of races.

Never hurts to check opportunities out. I can't imagine wanting to leave a Wisconson winter though.

The Triangle area is so nice, and the weather would be much better (from my POV anyway). How do you think the children would adjust? Didn't you just buy a new place not too long ago?
