while i had my braces, my dentist saw what appeared to be the beginings of a cavity on a tooth that had been twisted the wrong way. he filled it and said when the braces come off, he would fix it up the rest of the way for no charge. after the braces came off earlier this year, he took care of it, free of charge.

after my cleaning a few weeks ago, he called me back in for a little spot he saw on my xrays. the appt was today and i was worried that he was gonna drill me somewhere new....when he started working, i was surprised at which tooth it was, it was the one hes already done twice! as he was working, he told me dont worry, no charge today, since this still isnt right.

sweet, i got a free filling! Confused

When I was 11, I broke my two front teeth on the side of a swimming pool (don't ask). Composites were put in the next day and about a year later, a guy was jumping into a pool without looking and hit me in the face and broke the composites off.

My parents were broke and when they finally got the money to put new composites in (caps or two fake teeth were unaffordable), the dentist said they wouldn't last more than a couple years, but long enough for them to save enough money.

20 years later, my daughter bumps me in the mouth with her head. It hurt really bad, but they weren't broken. I had coffee today and it hurt. I looked at my teeth again, the composites are cracked Sad . They'll need to be replaced AFTER they are knocked out completely again Shocked

Our dentist is truly great. Lets you pay out terms, he's great with kids, and would rather stop what he's doing on a Saturday night to deal with your falling-out crown than make you wait in pain until the next day. Has before-work hours and I see his car parked there until about 8 pm at night.

A real mensch.

My mechanic did that once when he replaced my brakes. As he should have. If you do something and don't do it right the first time, you should fix it for free.
