she's at Drum Major camp at Indiana University of PA this week. she called last night and sounded so worried, and a little disappointed. She hadn't slept well sunday night, and the first day of camp was overwhelming. BUT, now that she had a good night's sleep and camp got a little more intense, she is having a whole lot of fun. She asked me to come up Thursday night because they will be doing some kind of performance!
proud dad

march, a lot, evidently. and conduct. in different styles. in different time signatures. over and over and over. she loves it. I think I have a band geek on my hands. In some sense, I feel sorry for her because I know she will have to be a musician for her life's work, and I know that she could do something which would provide her with a better living (more money). I also know that she won't be happy doing anything else but making music, and so I have to let her do it. I did.

I don't think the dad Keltic wants to know what goes on during the non marching times
I think he thinks his baby marches all day, then sleeps all night

Dads would like to think that, wouldn't they?
she has a steady boyfriend and he's not at the camp, so........I imagine she's being good.
