A LOT! In races back in Ohio, the winners were almost always from skate clubs (I was in a small one in Columbus too) because being able to draft helped save energy!

skating in a draft line conserves as much as 30% for the second skater, more the further back you go within reason, depending on the caliber of the line. A bad line accordians at about 15 people then that sucks.
the covering the privates, well, ther is a bulge there, the suite are called SKINSUITS for a reason. it is nothing byt lycra and spandex, supah thin.
