do you ever get little clues that you might be smarter than a lot of your superiors? I don't often but I've had not one but 3 of these today and a MAJOR one last week. 2 today were disconcerting memos indicating to me I am more clued in to what is happening on several of our accounts (and our company's most basic procedures) than the people who dictated that these things happen. The other today was a phone call explaining the basics of an equity purchase. All three of these were not with trainees but with senior VPs. and in the scheme of things I'm pretty much bottom rung. I basically report to the mail guy, so thats why its so scary. If I am the one who is clued in... take your money and bury it in the backyard!

Again, cheryl, I think we work for the same place.

Dear Lord, woman! PH doesn't have enough disk space for me to answer this question.

I mean, really, if you meant to buy 1000 shares of whatever security, I assume its because the account had the funds and you as investment manager of said account thought it was a good purchase. I have no idea what really went on in your head as you did it, why you can't follow basic client requests, much less what you are doing to this account, but I apparently do have to un-do it and explain it to you in monosyllabic terms when you royally botch it up. Very scary indeed.

Then someone needs to pay me 'big picture' money and maybe this 'nursing school thing' can be negotiable...

This would be a great day to ask Omega Lambda that question too.
