Posted: 04/13/04 - 15:57 Post subject: looking for cruise recommendations
I've been checking out cruise options for my girlfriend and me, something leaving either from Houston or Miami/Florida area. I've seen some commercials recently for Royal Caribbean promoting some sort of 'multi-sport' cruise with a climbing wall and stuff. Something around a week long. Any suggestions/opinions/experiences?

Cruise recommendations #1: go for the hot chicks. Always.
Cruise recommendations #2: "Rain Man" or "Cocktail".

I think the Royal Caribbean ship you are thinking of is the Adventure of the Seas
I know several different people who have done this 7 day cruise on Carnival out of Galveston and enjoyed it.
I have also heard that Carnival is more family oriented, more kids, Royal Caribbean is 'nicer' whatever that means. I went on this one and loved it. It was only 4 nights but we had a port every day and it was plenty I think. The Carnival one above has some sailing days, which, at least with my boat there was plenty to do if we had had that time. If you decide to leave out of San Juan A) lemme know and B) I'm coming with.
Good luck!

My hubby did the Caribbean one on a HS trip. (Musta been a rich HS) He still talks about it all these years later.
I recommend any cruise, having never been on one and always wanting to go on one.

I really enjoyed the sailing days. They give you a chance to just relax and enjoy the ocean. I found the port days to be awfully busy.
