a local band, one of the biggest up-and-comers in town i suppose (signed to some historic record label this past summer) has just landed their dream gig -
Inward Eye will be opening for The Who in Calgary, Edmonton, and Winnipeg.
lucky sh*ts. what a fantastic opportunity for them. it's like playing pickup hockey with wayne gretzky.

Half the original band members does not a band make. The Page & Plant collaborations don't make them Led Zep re-incarnate.
Still, you are right - it is a huge break for IE.

That's awesome.
I think the last time I acted crazy stupid was when I found out the band I was in was going to open for Fishbone*.
*although it never happened.
