would you like a used copy of "The World at War" for Christmas? Your other choice at this point is a tie. (I'm completely out of ideas right now)
Is that really cheap to gift a used one? The new ones are waaaaaaaayyyyy out of my price range. And even the used is a stretch but for my dad I'd do it. Its listed as "like new" just no plastic wrap. Is plastic that important? pretend you are my dad (strong resemblence in personality to Everybody loves Raymond's father) and now answer for him. Yes? or just a tie?

Answering as Raymond's Father:
"You couldn't even splurge to buy me the lousy plastic wrap?"
Answering for me:
It wouldn't matter. It's a great gift, and as long as the Book/DVD/Video was in good condition, I'd be happy with it.

You know my dad well!
I think I might do it. He was on the verge of getting netflix to burn his own dvd copies of it.

Yeah, but I'd prefer Buffy Seasons 5 and 6, plus the Star Wars Trilogy. But the World at War is nice.
Seriously, used is okay in my world, especially for one of those really big sets.

It could work. Angelina Jolie is only 1 year older than Colin Farrell, and she played his mom in Alexander

Yabut,....
She's Angelina Jolie
Hey, pfffffff, you can send your dad any movie with Angelina Jolie in it too, and I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

Another less appealing option are those new Seinfeld dvds. But....there are like 5 episodes on per day....why do you need it on dvd?

I think it's fabulous. I would have no problem with a used book. In fact, I love getting old, well-worn cookbooks as gifts.

Adult Ralphie: We plunged into the cornucopia quivering with desire and the ecstasy of unbridled avarice.
Mr. Parker: Didn't I get a tie this year?

Me too!
The World at War is a 8(?) DVD series that I think was originally an HBO thing. Its a long story, but I know he liked it.
