Yesterday I had my first experience getting Hayden's picture taken at Wal-Mart. Let's just say it started off good but went downhill quickly. First mistake, went alone--should've had backup. Second, didn't make an apt. so I had to wait about 30 min, all of which time he was the happiest child alive, of course when it was our turn he was starting to get unhappy. Third, don't leave pacy in car. Fourth, bring backup bottle so you don't have to whip the boob out during the shoot. Fifth, stupid lady doesn't get that once kid starts screaming hysterically shoot is over and she was trying to cancel it because she didn't get enough shots, and I didn't go for that. Then the poor kid was just in a diaper, starved and MAD!!! So I did a quick feed and then got spit up on (over my whole shirt!) and it was just not fun.....The good news is we got a great picture of a happy boy early on, and I was strong and only got the $3.88 package I went there for. Then the dumb lady acted all mad I didn't get the extra $90 package. Well sorry!
Anyway, can't wait to see the pics, and for the 6 month shot I'll know how to do it better!

Been there done that. I feel your pain. Do you have a Picture People
close to you. I've had very good luck with them.

Hopefully the pictures turn out good.
Have had similar experience so I understand what you went through.

But the burning question is whether the photographer was wearing stirrup pants??
Wal*Mart photo shots are a parental rite of passage. We usually do once a year at the pro photo studio and then the occasional Wallyworld session. One thing we do is to be there right as soon as they start. Not only is the wait shorter, but the photographer is in a slightly better mood. Can't give you advice on boob whipping..sounds like a new thread in itself

hmmm....I didn't notice about the stirrup pants, but I'd say there was a 90% chance of it. I'll take better notice next time. Good point on being there at the beginning of the day. I'll definitely try that.
