My brother leaves on Saturday for Kuwait.
He does not feel scared, says he is ready to go, and just wants to do his job well.
I, however, am flipping out, and increasing my number of daily prayers.

I am so sorry that you have this pain--I can really sympathize with that. If you ever want to vent, I'm here.
BTW--please tell him that I do not have enough words to thank him for what he is doing for me. It's not just for Iraq, it's not just for our country, but it is for me. I take it very personally when a soldier goes--and I have so much gratitude I don't even know how to express it. Every soldier that chooses to defend our country reminds me that these men and women allow me to breathe free one more day. So, thank him, please.

Best of luck to your brother Coach. Nobody gains respect out of this old goat faster than a member of our armed forces.

May he go, and, if necessary, fight bravely. Prayers go out to him and your family.

I just had another friend go to Kuwait from Ft. Hood on Monday. He too is not scared but his family and friends are freaking out. I can only imagine what it would be like to have family going. I'll be praying for your brother and your whole family!! Send thanks over to him from all of us!

What Angie said.
Hoping his deployment is short and successful.

Wow! I'm refreshed and pleasantly surprised to see so much support for the fighting men and women of America. I'm Canadian, but I would thank him too since he's defending a way of life that I enjoy too.

Thank you to everyone!
I just e-mailed him at his military e-mail address, and copied a link to this thread in there, so he can read all your responses.
I'm not sure how much time he gets on-line, especially since he's shipping out tomorrow.
He did tell me last week, that he can read all his e-mails, but doesn't have time to reply to them all. So, don't be offended if he doesn't sign up here.
Thanks again, and you guys all rule.
I mean that.
