What happens when the cops are called to your party? What do they do? What happens to the party throwers? A "friend" wants to know before her ridiculously too large for an apt party starts.

I don't know, but I hear they rip off your shirt before stuffing you in the cop car.

Ahem. Back in the old days they used to tell you to quiet down. If they got called back a second time they'd break it up for you.

I had the police show up at my apartment quite a few times, but never was anyone arrested.

Isn't it possible to get a disturbing-the-peace ticket/citation?

well I shouldn't worry, we've done this before and either he was out of town or didn't care. but its set to be quite a bit bigger this time...
Re: the police, I really was concerned about citations/tickets/whatever they do. But if its just "shut the hell up" I can handle that.

I would ask for a pre-emptive collection at the begining of the party, just in case. I would guess that it wouldn't be more than $400
