i dont know which forum thingy this should be in but... I am 13 years old and I used to run and like to, but after about a quarter mile, my knees hurt really bad. I usually stop, but i managed to suffer through the run i was just on, and finished the mile in 7:37 with a couple big hills, but it hurt. My sister had this osgood schlotter thing (not sure on the spelling) and had lots of problems with it, my mom thinks i probably have it too. I ski 7 days a week during the winter and mountain bike. Is this just getting used to running or is something really wrong?

I had that Osgood Schlotter thing on my right knee during high school cross country. I think i remember getting a knee brace for a while, but it seemed to go away on its own. I think there was a knee exercise that helps it, too. A doctor should be able to give you better advice, perhaps a sports physician.
