I've been running on the mill lately, and about a mile or so into the runs, my left knee starts to hurt. It's more of a sharp pain when I land on my left foot - kinda like a needle poking in there somewhere. When I get off and walk, I don't feel anything, but walking back up the stairs, it happens again with each step. It doesn't last long, and by bedtime, I don't feel it anymore as I go upstairs.
It's just a little concern - hope it doesn't continue or get worse...
Any ideas? Thank you for reading.

i hate to sound like a broken record, but i have gotten help here:
julstro.com
there are a few muscle groups above the knee rando that, if not maintained properly, will tighten and pull that knee off track.
altho this website is based around her ebook, you can probably get lots of info just reading the forum q&a -- every other one is about knee pain.
a gentle regular stretching and release program that reaches your psoas, quads, TFL, ITB and most important for me: piriformis may keep things loose and flexible enough so that your knee will perform normally.
there's always the xray and mri too
good luck. i hate knee issues.

Better you than me RR! But I agree with you 100% as well. Julstro has helped me and a few others. Just last weekend a friend of mine was having servere tendonitous in his wrist, he could barely use a pair of pliers. I showed him where to press on his forearm to help ease the pain and it has worked wonders. That stuff really works.

Thank you for the info! I must admit, I haven't been stretching properly lately. That has already changed. Had a great run last night and stretched extra before and after.
