Pictures of Playa del Carmen and the ruins of Chichen-Itza. We stayed at the Royal Hideaway Resort. This is the all paid for trip that we just took courtesy of Lance Camper!
This is the resort property.
The bird of paradise there were over 2 stories tall!
We are going scuba diving!
This is how they prepare the bed in the evening.
Me on the steps of the temple.
This temple is 14 stories tall! They are closing off to tourists after the first of the year so if you want to climb it, go soon!

Jen and I spent a day at Chitchen Itza when we were on our honeymoon, I climbed all the way up. That is a long climb.

Great pics. Looks like a swanky pad you stayed in.
I loved Chitchen Itza. I walked to the top too. I've always wanted to go for either summer or winter soltice to see the sunlight through the doorways at the top stream down the steps.

Hey, I wanna go. Can you squeeze me in a suitcase the next time a trip comes up? I promise I won't eat much (not).
Looks like a fun time was had by all. (Sorry Bambam)

What's with the swan in the middle of the bed? Some sort of ancient Inca sex toy? Or the upright pillows? A Mayan virility rite?

It really was an awesome place. Before we left we asked about the cost: $450.00per night, thats not pesos! Actually when we figured it all out it really is a good deal. If I went back to the Cancun/Playa del Carmen area I would even spend my own money to stay there again (Royal Hideaway).
