...not to sure what the plan is.
but i did get in my point that my boss needs to be able to not answer the phone and stay until we've solved the problem we're working on.
and put in my vote for less cubicle-farm type action, i said "being able to talk and have some camraderie will really help us grow as a team and buy into a shared vision... otherwise your just a cog"... that and we could go for better air circulation.
i don't think it was the best meeting ever in terms of "planning"... but anyhoos...
i *did* find out that there will be "more customer service, more support, more setups and changeovers" shifted in my direction. and i'll give that a big eff no. the horizon doesn't look any different then what i'm doing now (for those following along at home).
ps. do you have any idea how ackward it is riding back with your boss to the office when you were looking for jobs the night before and are trying to figure out how to approach him so you can quit? not fun.

Tell him you're actively looking for new work, just as a "heads-up." If he values you, he'll start working on ways to keep you.
But if you think he wouldn't do that, just wait until the 2-weeks notice is needed.

it's not that he doesn't value me... he just wants (and needs) me to do things that i have no interest in doing. he likes my work... i just don't like doing it. i'm going to wait til the 2-weeks notice is needed.
