beautiful winter morning for this run, calm wind, temperature in the 20s at the start and full sun.

one of my goals for this year was to break 23 minutes in a 5K; today i ran a PR but didn't meet my goal.

final time was 23:02. i once told a good running friend that if and when i break 23:00, i'm ripping off my shirt at the line and throwing onto the pavement. funny how fate works in my favor as today would NOT have been the day to do that for my sake and the sake of my fellow runners.

i managed a first place in the 45-49 a/g and got a fleece hat and hoodie as a prize. i am happy i was able to get close to my goal, i'll have to save the dramatic finish line ending for next year.
