Posted: 11/19/03 - 22:13 Post subject: i'm suing walmart.
now, i KNOW the sign says "ask for help with product on top shelves", but really, it's not like i couldn't reach. and
and who dangles toys up that high anyways? it's not like they were overstocked...
needless to say i succeeded in getting my toy down... about the same time it decided to smash me in the face and cut me above my eye due to the sharp plastic edgings on the package.
i bled only temporarily.
the sad thing is i think i have a case.
ps. the triumph of getting the toy down despite the sign vs being cut above the eye is a strange balance... and i did still catch the toy. and that's what's important right?

Despite your inability to follow posted advice, I believe everyone on these forums will support you 100%. Except for shelf, he loves wal mart.

Technically, they didn't say "who" you should ask for help.
So, perhaps you asked your other resident personality to help you get it down. (Maybe your other resident personality is taller and doesn't have problems like this )
So it boils down to the insanity plea.

i'm 6 feet tall. my shorter friend said "hmm, that's an odd idea" (placing them up so high) and proceeded to look at other toys.

On a similar note, our local Wal*Mart must be stocking up for Christmas. I bet there's 500 bikes hanging from the ceiling. Maybe more.

500+ bikes...hanging from the ceiling??? Are you freaking kidding me???
That is a major overload of the roof beams and support colums if you count the coming snow loading...or a lot of rain during a downpour.... Hey...I'm not kidding.. Blefor..a major damage recovery and repair company has had to re-roof a couple of major box stores due to this kind of stupidity....
Blue may not be the only person with a case soon
PH...wear your hardhat when shopping..

Maybe we can get a twofer from my attorney, Blue. The dispute with AT&T has escalated, and they'll be getting a letter from my atty soon.
Seriously, high shelves/overstocked shelves are such a problem. My Gram got hurt pretty badly at a store, cannot remember the name, because a shelf somewhat collapsed while she was taking something off it, and it hit her cheek. For a couple years she had various problems, which were not the cause of the shelf (as she believed), but rather the brain tumor she had. I think we've all learned a valuable lesson here, no?
