but i need lots of replies and fast! and i know this has been discussed before, but im too lazy/busy to look it up.
i bought some flax seed meal today. my questions are: (1)did i buy the right thing, or should i have gotten whole flax seeds? (2)what are some ways to eat this flax seed? can i just dump it on top of what i already eat? (3)is flax seed really an effective way to reduce "bad" cholesterol like the package says?
if you could post or pm me some recipies too that would be great!

Do you use it on your bat? Your glove? Your intestines?
What? I want to hit over 70 homers this year!!!!
*FWIW, froggie, I have absolutely no idea what to do with the flax you mention. I am actually a little afraid of it.

I don't know about meal, but whole flax seed is best. Grind some up in a coffee grinder--but only what you intend to eat right away. Once ground, the oil goes rancid quickly.

I prefer the whole seed. I put it with my Kashi Go lean Crunch, some yogurt and some cut up fruit(apple, kiwi, banana etc). You can put it on whatever you want. applesauce, oatmeal etc.

just the flax Ma'am.
sorry i just thought that needed to be said. i would think though the whole seed would be better due to the fact that the process for making the meal would remove a lot of the oils.
