most likely UGA has a research center there, a lot of Major universties on a coastal state too, along the lines of the bio, eco lines too. I had a friend in Va that did that along the coastal waters of Va studying sand pipers and the just first foot of grass line. this also included the estuaries. she ended up doing her thesis along those lines.
