He's a cousing to the lungfish and the species is known to climb out of tanks and crawl around the house. hope the cat does not come across it.
I have not seen this species in a pet store in quite some time because they are hard to maintain, they stress easily and like live food. small crustaceans mostly. glad i am already growing brine shrinp.
let's have a "name that fish" contest.
