At least they tried. With my inlaws it's "What's that thing called? Do you have to train for it?"

How far was it again? A marathon? What is the things you do again? So, your a biker? How much do you train? Aren't you tired? You must have bad knees? Your bike cost how much? How far do you go to do these thingies? Why do you do it? Are you going to the olympics?
I could never do that. I don't even like to drive that far. It's dangerous on the roads ya know. The sun is really bad for you. My brothers, sons, friend, has an uncle that knew someone that was in one. (He won too, of course.)

Now this sounds familiar! I get asked all the time when my next marathon is... uh, I've never run a marathon.... and then I have to go thru the explanations of the various distances...

Try explaining that because you race in race in skates does not mean you can skate in the professional bike ride of the Tour De Georgia.
this does not mean that i know what bike to get
this does not mean i know who all theese cyclist
and people asking me why i don't change to biking, a real sport instead of those toys.
