Posted: 12/17/02 - 14:08 Post subject: i almost broke hannah's crib last night
she was crying very loud last night
and when i went in to check, she had her leg in and around the crib slat. she was in obvious pain and really struggling to free her leg...once i figured out how she got it in there, it had trouble getting it out...i almost tore apart the slat to get her leg out but luckily in a period of her relaxing between cries i was able to move it, it took like 2 minutes before she was free..
i would've broken the crib if i had too but she was rescued, calmed down, fed, and changed and put right back to sleep, with daddy rocking her in the chair...all was well after that

What you two are thinking is why they had to buy a crib in the first place.

That's some scary s%&t there, Joe. This past summer Shelby got her leg wedged inbetween two rungs of the slide on her swingset. The only way I could think to free her leg was to smack her knee in one direction while simultaneously smacking her foot in the other. It did the trick, but she had a bruise on her leg (from the indentation of the rung) for several weeks afterward.
